Freemium Summit 2010 – An Event Focused on the Freemium Business Model
One of the high value items you can provide along with the 'how' for the topics above is the 'what' to use to get those systems up and running. For example, provide a compilation of apps/software/saas solutions that a person attending your workshop could use to manage their virtual economy, virtual goods catalog, set up payments etc.
1) search/discovery of content. If the user can't find it, they won't buy it. Seems obvious but searching for graphical content can be challenging especially with UGC
2) User inventory and management of goods. Where does all the stuff go and how does a user manage their growing content?
While the above are product features, they drive monetization and customer service (where's the sword that I just purchased!?)
